About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to support the Boart Longyear Australian business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on working at an operational level and will see you working on a diverse range of HR generalist tasks, workforce planning and recruitment. As a member of the national HR team this role supports a broad scope of HR activities, including a strong recruitment focus.
Duties and responsibilities:
Providing operational HR support to employees, site leadership and management to deliver on key business objectives
Advising on HR policies and procedures, ER/ IR matters, performance, and disciplinary issues
Manage end to end recruitment and selection process
Managing engagement and performance delivery of external recruitment provider according to terms of agreement
Oversee workforce planning, including forecasting needs, coordinating commencements, promotions, transfers and employee exits
Support recurring activities such as compensation reviews, performance reviews and change management as required
Provide support in developing and implementing a variety of HR programs, plans, and activities (recruitment, retention, engagement)
Ensure accurate, reliable and efficient entry of data relative to employee information into HR systems and run appropriate reports, lists and other data as required
The successful applicant must possess:
3 plus years’ experience in a HR coordinator/ generalist role
Tertiary qualifications in HR or equivalent (degree or diploma)
A sound understanding of Australian employment legislation together with practical interpretation and application
Broad knowledge of HR policies and practices and delivering service excellence in an operational environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment
